I am known for doing too much, just ask Chad. I have been working on Brianna's 3rd birthday party for awhile now. Brianna has been asking for many many months to have a "Yellow Princess Dora Strawberry Cake!!!." I have looked online and the only Yellow Princess Dora was a collectible for $50!!! That wasn't going to happen so I decided to mold Dora out of fondant. (I had tried to talk her into a pink princess Dora, but she had her heart set on a yellow one! Yesterday I spent the entire day making fondant to mold a Princess Dora!
I left the Dora out to dry, (it can take a few days) after making her head, face details, hair, hat and body. I just needed to put it into the cake and add a dress and a few details and it would be done. It took the entire day since I only have about 10 minutes here and there between the baby's needs, especially since she's not napping for more than 10 minutes at a time again.
I was feeding Miranda in the other room when Bri comes running in with a huge grin!!!!
Bri: "I ate Princess Dora mom! I ate 3 parts: her eyes, face and hat! It was yummy!"
Me: No you didn't! Did you really?
Bri: "Yeah I tasted my birthday cake!"
Me: "Bri, that's naughty and it makes mommy sad!"
I walked into the kitchen and saw this:

So much for my morning!!! At least she enjoyed it right? I had sent her to time out and she still was grinning about it. When I went in to talk to her I told her that it made me sad that she ruined the Dora after I worked so hard on it. I told it that it wasn't nice to break things other people made. She said, "Do you forgive me mom?" Me: "Of course I forgive you, just don't do it again." (She's still not feeling bad at all!)
I was about to laugh because honestly it was really funny. I also didn't love the molding I had done anyway.
Bri: "I'm sorry mom, I didn't mean to eat it!" (Ha, how does one not mean to eat something?) She then said, "It's ok mommy, you can use the glass (meaning plastic) one!
A few hours later I was feeding Miranda again and Dora lost an arm, and her hat to Bri's mouth again!
So, the plastic Dora it is! She's going to go into a pink cake for her dress and then I'll make the castle! Hopefully I'll be better at keeping things out of Bri's reach!

Thanks for the laugh even though it was sad to waste all of your hard work.
I love it! Creepy voodoo Dora.
LOL You did a great job with it. :-)
Wow--I just laughed really hard. Would have looked fantastic but now you have a fabulously funny story to tell. Naughty, funny Bri
the fact that you tried to make the yellow dress Dora is amazing. i hope i can be as good of a mom as you one day.
Derrick and I couldn't help but laugh at that story, good thing you could see the humor too! I don't know that I would be so patient if it were me. You did an awesome job on the party! What lucky kids!
