The good news: We had our ultra sound a few days early!
The bad news: We had it in the ER last night at 1:00 in the morning! Right before I went to bed I started having some heavy bleeding that wouldn't stop, so we called our good friend Marianne who came and slept on our couch while Brianna slept and headed off to the hospital! We are thankful for such good friends who will help the needy no matter the time!
We were grateful to find out that everything looked fine with the baby and myself and that the bleeding has slowed down! The scariest part was the first 20 minutes of the ultrasound the tech wasn't saying anything and Chad and I couldn't see any movement and didn't notice a heartbeat! I finally said something and the tech informed us that the baby was just sleeping and had a good heartbeat!!! I felt so relieved after that! I have been having contractions a lot the last 2 weeks and have been sick on and off, so it started to really concern me. I even had a contraction during the ultrasound! Thankfully they sent us home and we were able to sleep in our bed for a few hours before getting up this morning! I still need to have a checkup with my doctor and possibly the ultrasound that was previously scheduled for Wednesday.
And, the part you're all waiting for: Most of you guessed correctly, we are having another GIRL!!! I on the other hand was surprised because I was sure it was a boy, but I couldn't be any happier! Looks like I'll be able to use a lot of the stuff I've made for Brianna again!!! And, Chad and I agree on several girl names and we never could find a boy name with both liked! As of right now we will most likely name her Miranda Elaine....but we still have several months to think about it!!!

yay!!!!!! You will love having 2 girls!!! It's so fun! :) And now you can make them cute matching outfits too!
I'm glad everything is fine. That would be very scary. Hopefully you won't have any more problems!
I'm glad everything is okay. I was wondering why my text from Chad was at 3 AM. I love Miranda Elaine! I think that's the third grandchild with Grandma Cook's name. I would like an "Elaine" myself.
I was so sad not be there for the ultrasound. Bri Bri will have fun with a sister to boss around like Morgie.
I'm so glad things are okay. But that had to have been really scary.
And congrats on another girl! I can't wait to see how you dress them both. :)
Congratulations! I am so relieved everything is fine. My heart totally stopped when I started reading the post. Scary! I totally thought I was having a girl, and look at what I got...a very rambunctious boy! I think Mother's Intuition only kicks in AFTER the baby is born. ;) LOL. Do you still need me Wednesday?
I'm glad everything is okay! Take it easy this week!
Goodness! We were very confused when we got the text this morning. I'm sorry you had such a scare; I'm glad it turned out okay after all. Congrats! Bri will be thrilled, I'm sure. :)
oh how scary, I'm so glad everything seems to be okay! Congratulations for your girl!
I hope every thing is ok now. That would be very scary! I can't believe you already have agreed on names...good job. Hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful!
Elaine as a middle name--now that just has a nice ring to it (I know from experience.) I'd love to have another little Bri running around doing the doodle doo dance. And now Bri will get a live version on her doll she loves to drag around. Perfect.
Congratulations on another Girl! That was a scary beginning. We are so glad everything is fine. I think Brianna will really enjoy having a baby sister.
I am sure that was so scary for you. Hopefully there are no more scares.
Yeah for a girl! I guessed right.
I was hoping you would have another girl!!! I'm so excited to have a 2nd girl (especially being able to recycle clothing). I'm sorry you've been having problems! My pregnancy this time around has been miserable--I've been on bedrest. Hang in there and keep us updated! Merry Christmas!!!
