Brianna REALLY likes Santa, can't you tell?
I don't know what it is about us parents who have to have a picture of our child on Santa's lap! You know, the concept of 'Santa' to a child must be really frightening! "Here, baby, go sit on the big man's lap with the bright red suit and hair covering every bit of his face! Then, he will say these scary words in a deep voice, "ho, ho, ho"! Don't forget to smile!"
Yeah, Brianna didn't fall for it! She quickly reached for Mrs. Claus, but still was quite upset as you can see! Afterwards they let her pick out a toy...and they were serious toys to pick from. She got a plastic shopping cart with pretend food boxes! She couldn't be happier! Maybe the toy will help her forget her experience with Santa this year!

Now that you mention it, it is rather disturbing that we force our babies to sit on a stranger's lap so we can take the obligatory photo-- only to teach them to stay away from strangers the rest of the year. I suck at the holidays b/c it never even occured to me that I should go down to the mall to sit on Santa's lap. What kind of mother am I?
That's pretty cute that there was a Mrs. Claus there to rescue Brianna. Needless to say it is a classic photo.
