I made all of their costumes except the leotard Brianna is wearing. I typically don't like to sew things that they aren't going to wear multiple times, so I tried to make things they could also wear at other times so it wouldn't feel like a waste of time. I however, really like to make things I can photograph, so I felt like it was a win-win this year! Enjoy their Halloween photoshoot. Princess in Training
Brianna wanted to be Sleeping Beauty for our second night of celebrating Halloween! Her friend had outgrown this dress and given it to her a few months before, and she had it in her mind that she was going to be Sleeping Beauty for Halloween! We ended up just going to the Trunk or Treat at church this year since Halloween was on Sunday. We had fun, though we don't know very many people in our new ward. Bri has been acting shy at church and events saying, "But I don't know anyone here!" She's excited to make friends, but has been a little more quiet than usual. Hopefully she'll make fast friends soon!!!
I didn't take any pictures at the actual event! Sorry! We enjoyed a chili feed, a magic show and then the trunk or treat. We have never seen so many kids in one ward before. I heard there was something like 250 kids there and about 400 people total! We ran out of candy fast as we weren't prepared for such a large group!
So here is our Sleeping Beauty, who is actually not sleeping at the moment and keeps sneaking out of her bed!!! She wished I had bought her a wig because "Sleeping Beauty has much longer hair Mom!!!" I let her wear make up and she about died and went to heaven!

Painted Halloween Faces
(I copied this from my other blog so I didn't have to reload and resize all the images, but they are too big for this blog...you may want to to go to my other one to see the full pics! go here
Brianna's preschool had their Harvest Festival today! The girls and I had a lot of fun! Grandma Langstraat sent a Halloween package a few days ago with these cute costumes! I decided to try my hand at face painting for the first time.....so no laughing! I wish I had better paints and brushes for faces because I could have lots of fun with this! Maybe some day I'll do face painting at one of their birthdays...but I shouldn't get ahead of myself, I'm definitely a beginner! Ummm, my favorite picture that captures her personality!!! I got away with calling her Panda in public without silly looks today!
