Christmas Morning

Here are a few pictures from Christmas morning! My mother in law sent these cute dresses for Christmas Sunday and the girls were ready for church before we did stockings and a few gifts...then we headed off to church and came back to finish with the rest of the gifts! They had a great time! Miranda had mentioned a few days before Christmas that she really, really wanted the Pop the Pig game. I had no idea she even knew what it was, but it ended up being the gift that made her the most excited! I found the last one at Target just 2 days before!

Christmas Eve

I am wayyyyyy behind on blogging! I was so completely overwhelmed over the fall with working 40-60 hours a week and dealing with the first trimester of pregnancy and the holidays that blogging took a back seat. I am attempting to catch up. We had a great Christmas Eve. Our friends, the Parkers, came over for dinner then we headed out to see a neighborhood decked out in lights.

Miranda LOVED the lights!Brianna and Malayla
Miranda being silly posing with the penguin! She was such a poser for the camera this night!

Our tree on Christmas Eve. Almost done decorating for Christmas morning!

Christmas....finally

Well, I'm finally getting around to posting about Christmas! Seems like it was forever ago already! Brianna and Miranda got to see Santa a few times, and Bri LOVES him. She was however very disappointed that he didn't bring her the gift she asked for 3 times! (I did all of her shopping early and decided not to grant her wish....though she's still upset about it) Maybe she'll get the doll she wanted for another holiday!

Miranda started Christmas morning out with a food reaction and was vomiting for about a half an hour. We waited for Bri to wake up, then took the girls downstairs and a towel for Panda to lay on. She only threw up one more time while opening presents and I was grateful not to end up in the ER on Christmas morning. Once it all gets out of her system she is just fine and normal (as long as she doesn't get too dehydrated and go into shock). She was happy as a clam that morning!

Our friend, Christy, spent the night on Christmas Eve and then stayed with us for Christmas Day. We really enjoyed having her there and it made not being able to go to Utah much more bearable! Bri was in heaven and was so happy for everyone with their gifts!

Later that day I hosted Chrismas dinner with 9 adults and 3 kids. We had 4 last minute guests, so I spent Christmas afternoon trying to find an open store to get enough food for everyone! I definitely was not planning on hosting Christmas dinner this year, but I really enjoyed it!

We had a wonderful time spending our first time home for Christmas (besides 2 years ago when I was pregnant and on "limited activity." I wasn't doing too well, and we ended up having Christmas dinner at Denny's that year! :( Glad this year was different!

We feel so very blessed!

Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! We are "partied out" over here and enjoying some down time! We had a great time spent together and I have tons to post about, but for now I'm going to just share my favorite homemade gift we did this year!

We have been loving the Ana White website with the plans for wooden furniture! She had this cute farmhouse doll bed that was perfect for Brianna's new American Doll Knockoff from Target. Her bed plans were a little wider than I wanted, so we took on width of wood out to make it smaller! Chad built the bed, I painted it and sewed some bedding, a mattress and pillow, etc. Brianna loves it!

Miranda, however, thinks the bed was made for her and her dolls to sleep in! She looks a bit like a giant in it! She spent a good part of the morning on the bed and was upset that her legs went off the edge!
Here she is "pretending to sleep"and "sleeping while sitting up"

I'm personally also excited to use it as a prop in newborn photoshoots!!!
