Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

During piano lessons the other day I was letting the girls decorate Valentine cards and Brianna took her safety scissors and chopped her hair off. See how much hair is in that garbage can? Yeah...seriously chopped it off! She is sad in these pictures because she is in trouble. Surprisingly I didn't get all that angry and I didn't cry....I was sure I would when this would happen (as it's inevitable with most kids). I figured Bri would never do it because we talk about it ALL of the time. She had a little boy cut her hair to the scalp in a section a few years ago and it was just growing out. We have talked about this sooooooo many times! Good thing hair grows back at some point!!!

Honestly, I kind of like her new hair cut. I do miss all the things I could do with her long hair. My friend Michelle fixed her hair the best that she could....just don't look closely to the chunks that are lots shorter! Chad is elated that she has short hair! He absolutely loves it! So what do we do? Do we tell her we like her new hair cut so she's happy? Or would that lead her to do this again? I'm torn!

I think it looks great, and it`s okay to say so as long as she understands that your friend made it look great and she didn`t.

Just found your blog- yah! This post made me chuckle because we have been there and done that. Our little Callie cut her hair almost a dozen times - NO JOKE. When we finally got her to stop cutting her hair- she cut her brother's! Some kids just love to cut. Her hair looks adorable by the way.

Her new haircut is completely darling, but I know the pain of seeing all the gorgeous hair in the garbage can! You handled it better than me...
