6 Months and Happy!

Miranda is 6 months old today! With all of her tummy issues days somehow seemed to last forever, but then when I think of her as 6 months old I feel like time has flown by!!! We love having this little girl in our home, she is such a blessing to us! I attempted a photoshoot this morning, but it was right before naptime so this is the only shot I got. I'll try again sometime this week!

(Her 6 month appointment isn't until next week so I don't have her stats yet.)
The biggest change in the last few weeks is that she's sitting up all by herself which has made for a much happier baby! It helps her digestive system to be able to sit up and move around a little! She is starting to play for long periods of time by herself or with her sister. She LOVES Brianna and just lights up any time Bri walks into the room.
She is rarely called "Miranda," most of us just call her Panda and it fits! I'm not sure how my girls will feel about their less than delicate nicknames someday, but somehow they fit for now!
Miranda loves to play, and play and play! She is fascinated by toys and trys to get any that are out of reach. She will pivot and turn and inch forward some, but still doesn't roll both ways. So she's not too mobile yet (which is good since Bri leaves tiny little toys out all of the time!).
She has upgraded to the sink for bath time which we both love! She just loves to splash and play!Panda has discovered her tongue and is constantly smiling with it out and smacking it against her lips! She thinks it's hilarious!
We started her on solids several weeks ago and now that she's eating solids more frequently she seems to be feeling better. It's nice to be able to feed her things that she's not allergic too! So far she has had, organic brown rice cereal, avocado, banana, apples, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and prunes. Here is a picture of her eating her first solid, avocados!!! It's one of the foods she has the easiest time digesting!!! Yeah for an non allergic food!!! Sleep is still often an issue, but in the last week she has been doing better. She is actually taking some naps and sleeping for several hours some nights. She never wakes to eat at night until after 5, but she wakes up often to get gas or burps out before she can go back to sleep.
We've seen the IMT therapist now twice and it really seems to help her! We are so grateful to our miracle worker, Sue! Getting Miranda to fall asleep isn't always a 1-2 hour screaming and fighting battle now! She still won't go to sleep on her own, but she "sings" herself to sleep by moaning and groaning loudly while being rocked/bounced!
We love our Panda! I can't believe she's half way to 1!!!

Erin, Thanks for the darling pictures. The girls are so adorable. (I agree with Sarah that there is something in Miranda that makes me think of Chad.) I can't wait till Thanksgiving so I can hug both of them and play with them. Love, Mom

Those pics are precious! Wow! It's good to look back and recognize how fast they grow up. I'm glad to hear things are getting better with her digestion too.
