A Good Night's Sleep....Already?

I am in love with this new addition to our family! She is so sweet! I think the reason I love her the most today is the fact that she slept from 11:30-5:00 last night!! And she ate at 9:30 so she went 7 1/2 hours without eating!!! Bri didn't do that until she was 7 or 8 months old!!! I actually felt rested this morning and had to force myself to go back to sleep for an hour so I wouldn't get too tired by the end of the day!!! I don't expect this to happen again, but I sure enjoyed it!

Miranda is so much easier than her sister was as a baby! She does have some of the same stomach problems Bri did, but she doesn't have colic or reflux, and she is consolable when she cries (unlike her sister who would cry for hours on end nearly every day and night) She does have a lot of discomfort with gas and air bubbles trapped in her tummy and I'm trying some of the things that helped Bri with that! The tummy problems lead to some fussiness and needing to be held when asleep or awake at those times...but there are plenty of times when I can get her to nap without holding her too!!! Anyway, I'm just feeling blessed today! I can't believe she's almost 4 weeks old!

I feel your joy/ I think lyla and Miranda are going to be great friends because they seem to be very similiar in thier sleeping habits.

Hooray! Madeline's done that a couple of times too. Isn't it amazing how good it feels to get sleep?

She is such a cutie. Sophie slept like that last night too - saved me! I was nearly crazy from sleep deprivation.

I'm happy for you! Sleep deprivation is one of the toughest things about a newborn.
