New Outfit

I've been trying to get some sewing done for Brianna before the baby comes. I made her this outfit last week which has 3 pieces that can be worn together or seperately! I love it's versatility! I made a tie knot dress from a Sandi Henderson pattern I bought and look forward to making this again in a dress instead of a top.
I also made a matching pair of pants in brown with a ruffle at the bottom! They've been great for other outfits too! Then I made this blue shirt which I altered from previous posts with the peasant tops. I left the sleeves fluttering and made it a little longer! I love it and will probably embroider a few flowers coming up one of the sides.I also tried this scalloped edge thing on my sewing machine for the first time....we'll see how it holds up but I love the finished look. (Sorry the outfit is a little wrinkly due to her wearing it all day!)

And this fabric flower that I made to match the blue dress posted awhile back was perfect to match!

A few more poses from Bri!

I need to take this girl on a real photoshoot outdoors once there's a nice sunny day now that we have daylight savings! She loves to pose!My favorite thing about making things for Brianna is that she is so grateful and excited. She always says, "Oh thanks, it's beautiful!!!"
I'm almost finished with a spring/Easter dress that I'll be posting soon!

I love allt he things you sew! How did you get started? Did you learn with someone? Read a book? I just need a way to get started.. I am sort of floundering in half started, messed up projects. Arrrgggg. Can't wait to see that new girl, when she is ready! She and Bri will be such a duo!
