I know, I have been a blogging slacker lately and I'm sorry!!! I'll try to catch up! (But be warned that this is a bit of a novel about our traveling drama!!!)
We went to Memphis to visit Chad's family for Thanksgiving! We were there for over a week and loved it, but I didn't take as many pictures as I had hoped. In fact, I think I only pulled the camera out one night!!! That's part of the reason I haven't posted. The other reason is that we were gone for so long, and now that we've been back Brianna has been really sick and I'm starting to get sick as well!
We had what you might call some eventful travels, but the in between stuff with family was great! I didn't however love the fact that Brianna got car sick as we were driving into San Francisco and threw up all over herself and her carseat! Luckily I had a suitcase full of clothes to change her in! Then we had to leave our car in the parking lot for over a week without a chance to clean it! Brianna did howevere feel much better after that and enjoyed rocking out to her own set of head phones on the plane!
Then, the morning we were getting ready to leave (at 2:30 am our time) Brianna woke up with a fever! I gave her some Motrin and we got on the plane to Atlanta! I didn't have a chance to eat, and that's not especially great being pregnant. But we planned on eating when we landed in Atlanta during our layover! Unfortunately, by the time we got to the gate there was only 5 min. left to board and no time for food! You don't tell a pregnant lady she can't eat anything but pretzels on an airplane all day! I was already famished and nearly ready to burst out in tears!!! This next flight was close to 5 hours and I ended up having lots of contractions due to being dehydrated and hungry!!! We also were in the back seat so we couldn't lean back! Poor tall Chad was packed like a sardine in his seat! Brianna was getting a little cranky and still hadn't napped and all I could think about was food!!! After 2 1/2 hours I finally got Bri to fall asleep in Chad's lap and as I attempted to take a much needed nap I kept getting my seat knocked by all the people in line for the bathroom! Can't you tell I loved my seat!!!! :( About 10 minutes after Bri fell asleep she woke up screaming and was burning up with a fever. Of course I left the Motrin on the counter and had nothing to give her! And we wouldn't land for another 2 1/2 hours, and then still needed travel time to get somewhere for medicine. Luckily some older gentleman on the plane had some baby advil for his heart condition and shared with us! At this point, I'm having contractions every 5 minutes or so and I'm just dying for some food and my neighbors pull out a sandwich they had brought. I don't think I ever took my eyes off of their food! :) I was so tempted to ask for a bite!
When we finally landed in San Francisco we still had tons of luggage to get, a shuttle to catch, and a van full of old vomit to get to! I was less than excited for the 2 to 2 1/2 hour ride home! About a half an hour outside of San Francisco we were able to get some food!!! Oh, blessed McDonalds!!! We got home at 3:00 which was when I was supposed to be leaving for a craft fair (with Bri's fever I opted to stay home!) Chad however had to be at the church by 3:30 for a campout and rushed around the house to pack and get there on time! What a crazy weekend we had! Brianna ran a high fever on and off for 4 days and today is the first day she hasn't had a fever!!! I can only hope it's really gone!
So, we're happy to be home! I'll post more pictures of our visit soon, once we gather them up!

Wow what a nightmare! I hope you had a fun visit inbetween the bad traveling! I'm hoping our Christmas plane trip goes well, it's only 2 hours though, so that makes it a little easier on little kiddies.
That trip sounds pretty awful--I'm glad you had fun despite all of that.
And I'm guessing its a boys. Boys make good second babies :)
Morgan says it 's a boy( a little bitty bop)! I think it is a girl.
Wow... Those long flights can be so hard. I still don't understand why they don't offer food on flights over 2 hours.
Oh my word, I'm so sorry! We've had our share of nightmare trips across the country too, but this sounds dreadful. Glad you made it home safe and sound.
