Lake Tahoe

For Labor Day weekend we decided to finally drive the short 2 hours to see Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, the temperature had dropped drastically that day and it was FREEZING!!! In fact, the high by the end of the day was only 63 degrees and it started out about 20 degrees cooler. Luckily we had grabbed some jackets last minute! It was beautiful! pretend this picture isn't sideways...for some reason it won't rotate and I'm sick of trying!

We went up with our friends Nick and Marianne and had a blast! Chad wanted to be buried in the sand, and Brianna wasn't sure about it!

Don't let this picture fool you into thinking it was warm!!! Chad and Brianna decided to brave the freezing cold water! They had to go really far out into the lake to be able to get past their knees! Brianna loved it until she went under the cold water! Turns out swimming isn't as much fun when you're frozen! She cuddled up with me and some blankets and fell fast asleep...which never ever happens!
The best part of the day was when our newly purchased large easy up tent went flying down the beaches! A poor group of men walking the beach had to start running to avoid being attacked by it! Chad and Nick ran to get it and it was completely destroyed! They spent the majority of the day trying to get it to fold back up! It was beyond repair and good old Walmart took it back and gave us a refund!!!

Lake Tahoe looks beautiful! I didn't realize it was only 2 hours away. Sorry it was cold! The story about your tent as hilarious!
