In the last week we have had a lot going on. To start off with we were expecting a visit from Chad's mom while Chad's dad was at a work thing in the LA area. Chad went to pick his mom up from the airport and she had just received a message that her mother may not live until the morning and she should come as soon as possible! So, I packed a bag for Chad and he and his mom both caught a flight to Phoenix. Brianna and I got to visit with them for a few minutes at the airport and headed home to the big dinner I had prepared. Luckily I had a few friends who were willing to help me eat it! :) The good news is that by the next morning Chad's Grandma was doing much better. After realizing why Chad and Carolyn were there, Chad's Grandpa told them to come back and spend some time with Brianna and I since Carolyn hadn't gotten to really see us on her trip! So Chad and his mom flew back to Sacramento without telling me. At 10:30 at night Chad called to say good night and I heard a knock at the door! I was a little afraid to answer it, but saw my mother in law through the peep hole! What a nice surprise! Brianna had been so sad the day before when Grandma wasn't in the bed we made for her, so she was really happy to spend the next day with Grandma Langstraat. Carolyn had to leave at 3:45 to catch her next flight, so we fit in some shopping and of course some swimming! Grandma spoiled us for our anniversary and Brianna's birthday! Then, a nice dip in the pool and swimming lesson from Grandma finished off the day! It was short, but packed with fun and we sure had her came back and finish the visit! We are especially grateful that his Grandma is doing a bit better!
Brianna loved swimming and did a fantastic job. She could swim across the pool with someone just holding her head down and lifting her up for a breath every once in awhile! Chad will post a swimming video later!

Sorry I've been a stranger. Seems like I haven't had time to blog or read blogs. Anyway, cute projects! You're so talented. Val and I want one of those apron shirts! I'm glad you got some time with my Mom. She had a wonderful day with you guys. Hope the wedding went well. Love and miss you! Cat
