We made our first day trip since our move! We went to San Francisco with a couple of friends yesterday. It was not a bad drive being only 2 hours away. Luckily our friends knew the area and were able to just guide us around! And, for those who have been asking, yes there are a few pictures with me in them!
We stopped in Berkley to see the school and had the chance to get this beautiful view of the San Francisco area.
Then we headed off to San Francisco and crossed several bridges (much to Chad's delight!) We went to lunch, then to Pier 39 and took some pictures of Alcatraz from a distance! Can you see it in the background? 
Then we went to my favorite place, the Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory and got our free sample. Of course, I needed to buy a little bag, and since this was how we were celebrating Valentine's Day, I figured the chocolate was my gift! Yum yum! 
We stopped at Fisherman's Wharf for the best shrimp sandwich I have ever had! Sorry, no picture, we ate it too fast!
Brianna was great despite the fact that she's getting 3 of her molars all at once! She finally passed out and took a little nap in her stroller!
Then, finally off to get some fun pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. I love to take pictures and was glad that our friend knew where to go to get some great ones! 
Brianna spent a considerable amount of time on her daddy's shoulders! She loved it up there! She had a lot of fun with his hat, and would even lean down to give him a kiss on the cheek! Chad was worn out when we got home from carrying her so much, but he really enjoyed spending the time with us!

it just seems like you are on a long vacation- when are you comming home?
How fun! We love San Francisco! It would be fun to be so close. Although you are close to Vegas too! Well closer than you used to be.
Those are great pictures and it looks like it was a lot of fun. I would want to go on a tour of Alcatraz. That movie The Rock makes it look like it would be cool.

It looks like you guys had a great day in SF. I love that city!!! So I am sure we will be up there at some point in the next four years (if not several times...). So hopefully we will get to to see you guys. I actually wish that we lived closer right now. I need some professional pictures of my aprons and I believe you are good at that...but alas. Oh, and did you get your hair cut? It looks really good!

Fyer! Yeah for pics of Erin! San Francisco looks fun. Chad do you remember Mom's black and white striped Alcatrez nightshirt? It has a stamp on it that said, "Rejected, Too Cute!" Maybe I could find it for you to wear when you're here. It's almost as good as the leopard pants.

I've been keeping up with your blog and am happy that you're settled, so that you were able to update it a bit. Brianna just gets cuter and cuter. I couldn't bring myself to write the other day...because I was so homesick, seeing your photos of San Francisco. :) Anyway, I hope that you're enjoying California.
Aw, jealousy is setting in :) I ran into your parents at the mall this a.m. and they mentioned your trip--have fun living the California dream for us until we can get back!
