It's official, Chad signed a contract to be transferred to Sacramento in January! So, we're moving! I have a lot of mixed emotions about it, but I've been so busy and overwhelmed trying to get our house ready to sell that I haven't had a lot of time to think about it. Of course we'll miss all of our family and friends here, but we're excited to try a new place out!
I have been overwhelmed finishing some things in our house, like painting all of the doors, which seemed to take a life time! But, it's finally coming together. We had a realtor call last night to schedule a showing today. I spent hours getting the house cleaned...and no one ever showed up! I hate that! It makes me so mad. We had a friend who did that to us 4 or 5 times last month.! I finally gave up on them. But, at least my house is sparkling clean! If someone were to drop by today I would love to have them come look and that's a nice feeling!
The market right now is horrible, and it's a bad time of year to sell. We will probably end up renting our house out so I don't have to wait here for several months after Chad leaves. But, we're giving the real estate market a shot for a few months!

Congratulations...and good luck with the sale of your house. It's very lovely--someone should surely want it!!! I AM a little disappointed that I'm not still in California where I could just take a weekend drive up to say "hi."

Wow! How exciting for you guys! I am it might be a little stressful getting your house sold, but what a fun adventure you have ahead. Good luck getting everything ready for the big move! I wish I could help some how, because I can imagine how hard it would be to try to pack with a little one around.
