The Langstraats

I was giving Brianna a bath and realized she didn't have any bath pictures since her first bath. I loved this photo because she looks so embarrassed to have her picture taken in the tub. I can just hear her saying "but I'm naked!"

Brianna wasn't doing any better with sleeping and her gas issues...so they took an x-ray on Monday. The good news is that everything is fine anatomically. The bad news is that we still don't know what's wrong! I was a little frustrated when the doctor said that I just had a hard baby and would not be able to sleep for a long time.

I've been so tired that my sisters-in-law and mother-in-law decided to help me get some much needed sleep. On Sunday night I slept on my mother-in-law's couch while my sister-in-law, Alicia, stayed with Bri over night. (It was especially nice of her because she is 6 months pregnant!) Of course I didn't sleep very well because I worried that Brianna was being horrible. I also don't know how to sleep for very long anymore. My body just can't stay asleep anymore! Brianna has done a little better the last few nights. She sleeps on her stomach now that she can roll over and that gives her the pressure her tummy needs to stay asleep!

Even though Brianna doesn't sleep, she has the sweetest personality. I can't believe she went from the saddest colicky baby to the happiest smiling and giggling girl that she is. She is such a joy!

The dermatologist did another surgery on my knee yesterday to remove the last bits of the 2nd mole that came back from the biopsy with a concern. He took the stitches out of my shoulder yesterday from one he removed 2 weeks ago. I was in so much pain last night that I didn't sleep at all! I'll called my OB hoping to get some type of pain relief. The dermatologist didn't know what I could take since I'm nursing! Hopefully he removed everything that he needed to, because I do not want to go through that again! I"m still waiting for some medicine!

Chad's brother Curtis and his wife Alicia moved in with us last week. They'll be living with us until May. They are expecting a boy in April, so we'll have another newborn in the house soon! We're excited for the little one to arrive.
