1 Month Old

I can't believe it's been a month since Miranda was born into our family. In so many ways it feels like she's been a part of our family forever and it other ways it feels like time has flown this last month! She truly is a blessing to have in our home.

I had my follow up appointment with the Gestational Diabetes Center today and I am in the clear for now!!! Yeah! (But I think the diet I was on would be the best way to lose this baby weight too! It's just hard to avoid some of the foods when it's just for me and not hurting the baby like before!!!)
Brianna loves her little sister and is the best big helper. Whenever she hears Miranda cry she wants to be the one to giver her the pacifier, get the diaper, etc. I couldn't have asked for Brianna to be any better. She spends a lot of time in the day just doing pretend play with her dolls, toys, etc. She cracks me up lately with what she's coming up with! On Monday I asked her to go get a comb so we could make her hair pretty before some friends came over....it got a little too quiet for a few minutes and when I went to check on her this is what I found...

"I look pretty?" Yep, she got into my make up and had mascara all over her face, but she did have it on her eye lashes too. A close up look also revealed some blush and powder too! She was so proud of herself! Looks like I need to keep a closer eye on this one!
Brianna has become obsessed the last few days with "lessons." She asks me all day for different "lessons" i.e. preschool lessons, piano lessons, ballerina lessons, etc. She loves to learn and it's been fun spending some one on one time when we can.
Brianna did have some swimming lessons from Grandma Langstraat when they were visiting...I've just been waiting for some help with the videos I took before I posted it! It should be up in the next day or so!

wow I can't believe Miranda is a month old. It seems like you just had her. Although I am sure she just feels like a natural part of your family now. She is beautiful.

I love the pic of Bri. A budding young cosmetologist maybe?

It does seem like forever since we went to San Francisco, but it doesn't seem like Miranda is a month old! I guess I just miss seeing her grow into a month-old. Bri's pretty cute, too!

I think motherhood gets more fun (and more complicated) when you get to see your kiddos interact with eachother. I'm so glad that Bri is enjoying being the big sister.

Brianna is a diva in progress! But a sweet diva, not like those mean ones...
