Brianna was finally seen by a specialist today! She woke up 25 times last night due to gas and burps that were trapped! No matter how much I got out of her there was always more! So, another night of no sleep! I was in tears around 5 in the morning because I hadn't once been able to go to sleep! Her sleep has just been getting worse. (She's 5 months old and doesn't even sleep as much as a newborn does at night!) My sweet visiting teacher took Brianna for 3 hours so I could take a nap! Brianna usually screams the whole time she is babysat, but she was pretty happy for her with just a short bout of screaming!
Anyway, we saw the gastroenterologist this morning. Upon evaluating her he was surprised to find some kind of sphincter was too tight. He says most doctors catch this by 1 or 2 months old! Brianna was not happy when he suddenly stuck his hand up there and stretched it out! So, she hasn't been able to go to the bathroom and this why she only goes every 3-4 days and sometimes longer! Hopefully she will get better! We will be going back next week to follow up! I'm hoping to get some sleep soon! But, I'm trying not to be too hopeful because everytime we see a doctor she gets better for a few days, then worse! Someday this will all be better though!

Awww I am SO sorry! You mostly post the happy and good parts about Brianna so it appears everthing is okay! I know how hard no sleep can been for sure. I'm glad your visiting teacher came through for you and I hope it does get better. Poor thing! (both of you!)
Oh how miserable! I am so sorry to hear what a horrible experience you are having! You deserve some sleep and so does Brianna. I hope that the doctor really was able to help and things will STAY good and not just for a few days!
Hang in there. It is bound to get better. I wish I could come babysit her for a night so you could at least get one good night of sleep.
